How to watermark a video on iPhone
You can watermark a video on iPhone in about 30 seconds: build the mark once from your name, @handle or an icon, tap it onto the clip, and export. The mark is burned into the exported file, so it travels with copies of the video.

How do I watermark a video on iPhone?

How do I make the watermark move?
Open the Animate tab and pick an effect from a big set — Fading, Slide, Pulse, Neon, Glitch, Shine and more. The motion is burned into the exported video, so it keeps moving in any app you post it to.
Moving and repeated marks are the hardest cases for removal tools, by their own account: a remover has to follow the mark from frame to frame instead of patching one fixed spot. No watermark is unremovable, though.
Keep the motion quiet if the video is quiet. A Fading effect at low opacity is usually enough; a Glitch effect on a wedding clip is not.
What settings actually matter?
Three: position, opacity, and repetition. A corner mark at 100% opacity is the easiest to crop off and the ugliest to look at. A repeated mark at 20–40% opacity survives a crop and still lets the footage through.
- Position: keep it off the subject, not off the frame — a mark in the very corner is one crop away from gone.
- Opacity: 20–40% reads as texture; 100% reads as a stamp.
- Tile patterns: Grid, Diagonal, Circle, Border, Wave, Corners.

- Export: source resolution, highest quality setting iOS offers, source metadata kept.

Does watermarking a video lose quality?
Not in resolution: Creatag keeps the source resolution and encodes at the highest quality setting iOS offers, so a 4K clip stays 4K and nothing is downscaled. The watermark is composited into a new file, and your original stays exactly as it was.
Every export is a re-encode, which is why the encoder setting matters. What you should avoid is watermarking a clip twice, or exporting a video that has already been compressed by a messaging app — each pass costs a little detail no matter which app does it.
