Creatag Terms of Use
The legal terms for using the Creatag iPhone app, including subscriptions, media handling, Apple-specific terms, and support.
Effective DateJune 27, 2026
1. Agreement to Terms
By downloading, accessing, or using Creatag, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Eligibility
You must have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms in your jurisdiction. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the App only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.
3. App Scope and License
Creatag is an iPhone app for creating and exporting watermarked photos and videos.
Creatag requires an iPhone running iOS 18 or later. Devices on earlier versions cannot install or run the App.
Subject to these Terms and applicable law, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store usage rules.
No account registration is currently required to use Creatag's core features.
You may not:
- reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App, except where applicable law expressly permits it;
- copy, sell, resell, rent, lease, sublicense, or distribute the App;
- use bots, scripts, scrapers, or other automation to misuse the App;
- use the App in a way that violates law or infringes third-party rights.
4. Free and PRO Features
Creatag offers free and PRO features. The free tier currently includes:
- 3 saved watermark templates;
- 3 video watermark exports;
- a limited number of free photo exports;
- single-item editing — batch processing is a PRO feature.
Upgrading to PRO removes these limits and unlocks features such as unlimited templates, unlimited video and photo exports, and batch processing of up to 30 items at once, as described in the App at the time of purchase.
Current free-tier limits are shown in the App and may change over time.
5. Apple In-App Purchases and Subscriptions
PRO is sold through Apple In-App Purchases.
- Billing is handled by Apple, not by us.
- Pricing, currency, subscription duration, and any free-trial or introductory offer are shown by Apple in the App Store and/or the in-app purchase flow at the time of purchase.
- If you purchase an auto-renewable subscription, it renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions in iOS via
Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions. - You can restore eligible purchases using the App's Restore purchases action.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's refund policies.
6. User Content and Media Processing
You retain ownership of the photos, videos, text, and other content you process in the App.
Photos and videos selected for watermarking are processed locally on your device. We do not upload your media files to our servers for watermark processing.
We may still process limited analytics, billing, subscription, diagnostic, and support-related data separately from your media files. Please review our Privacy Policy for details about how data is handled.
Creatag works with the photo and video formats your iPhone and iOS can read. Photos are typically JPEG, PNG, HEIC, TIFF, BMP, or GIF (first frame only) and are exported as JPG, PNG, or HEIC; if your device cannot create HEIC, the file is saved as JPG instead. Supported videos use common iPhone formats (.mov, .mp4, or .m4v) encoded with H.264 or HEVC and are exported as MOV, MP4, or M4V.
There is no fixed file-size or video-length limit. Processing is bound by your device's available memory, so very large, high-resolution, or long files may process more slowly or fail on older devices. Video is processed at up to 60 frames per second (slow-motion footage is resampled to 60 fps), and photo exports are always still images — any animation applies only to video.
You are responsible for your content, including legality, permissions, backups, and ensuring that you have the rights needed to watermark, export, share, or otherwise use that content.
7. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how Creatag handles analytics, diagnostic, billing, and support-related data. By using the App, you also acknowledge that data may be handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
Because core app settings, templates, and similar app data are stored locally on your device, you can remove that local app data by deleting the App.
8. Intellectual Property
The App, including its software, interface design, branding, templates, and related materials, is owned by Creatag or its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited license above, no rights are granted to you.
9. Third-Party Services and Terms
The App relies only on Apple, RevenueCat, and PostHog as third-party services for purchases, entitlements, analytics, diagnostics, and related app operations.
You must comply with any applicable third-party terms when using the App. Third-party services may also be governed by their own privacy policies and terms.
10. Availability, Updates, and Changes to the App
We may update, improve, change, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the App at any time, including features, limits, or compatibility requirements.
We do not guarantee that every feature will remain available forever or that the App will always be compatible with every device, OS version, or third-party service.
11. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, secure, or error-free operation.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to the App.
Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the App will not exceed the amount you paid, if any, for the App or PRO during the 12 months before the claim arose.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers or limitations of liability, so the above limits apply only to the extent permitted by applicable law.
12. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time.
We may limit, suspend, or terminate access to the App if you violate these Terms or misuse the App.
Sections that by nature should survive termination, including privacy, intellectual property, third-party terms, disclaimers, liability limits, governing law, and Apple-specific terms, survive termination.
13. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Poland, excluding conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory consumer protection law in your place of residence provides otherwise.
If you are a consumer in the EEA, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer rights or protections available to you under the laws of your usual place of residence.
14. Apple-Specific Terms
These Terms are between you and Creatag, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support services for the App.
- In the event of any failure of the App to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price for the App, if any. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the App.
- Apple is not responsible for addressing claims relating to the App, including product liability claims, legal or regulatory compliance claims, or consumer protection claims.
- You represent and warrant that you are not located in a country or region subject to a U.S. Government embargo, not designated as supporting terrorism, and not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance, have the right to enforce these Terms against you as third-party beneficiaries.
If these Terms are silent on a matter required under Apple's standard licensed application terms, or if any provision here is inconsistent with mandatory Apple end-user rights, the applicable Apple standard term controls for that specific matter.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material updates will be reflected by updating the Effective Date and, where practical, communicated in-app or on the public legal page.
Your continued use of the App after updated Terms take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
