How does an app with no ads pay for itself?
With a subscription, and nothing else. PRO unlocks unlimited templates, unlimited video exports, and batch processing. There are no ads, no tracking of you across other apps, no data sold, and no watermark of ours on your exports to advertise the app for free.
That is also why the free tier has limits rather than a banner: an app that pays for itself with attention has a reason to keep you in it, and this one doesn't.
What happens to your photos and videos?
They stay on your iPhone. Watermarking runs on the device, so no photo or video is uploaded to a server — Creatag works with the network off. There is no account to create and no login.
How do you get hold of the person who makes it?
Email the support address — it reaches the developer directly, not a support desk. The developer is also on X. Bug reports and feature requests are read.
